LORNE shares the brilliant video for ‘Bread Alone’

Hailing from Berkshire, the London-based singer, songwriter, and pianist LORNE is set to release his debut EP Maze in Spring 2017. So-called after becoming fascinated with the analogy of reaching a dead end with no signs to show you the way.

The arrangement for lead track, ‘Bread Alone’ is haunting, rousing and minimal, consisting of just lead vocal, grand piano, violins and cello. Described as ‘dark, but filled with sentimental value’ by The Indiependent, Lorne’s music is both emotive and melodic and has been likened to fellow singer-songwriter’s Damien Rice, Ben Howard and Peter Gabriel.

An early version of ‘Bread Alone’ was previously Song Of The Week on BBC Introducing and much of LORNE’s early material has already been featured on blogs and online radio stations worldwide including in Australia, Germany, the UK and USA. The vocals and piano for ‘Bread Alone’ were recorded by Daniel Moyler at The Pool Studio in London, whilst the soaring cello and violin parts were recorded by Yoed Nir (Regina Spektor, Rufus Wainwright) in New York.

‘Bread Alone’ is out now.
