Foy Vance has unveiled acoustic performance video of “Wind Blows Chloe”

Foy Vance has unveiled a stunning acoustic performance video of “Wind Blows Chloe”, a track from his forthcoming album To Memphis, which will be released on September 6, 2019 on Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Man Records/Atlantic Records. The acoustic video, which premiered on The Bluegrass Situation, was recorded at Sun Studios in Memphis.  Pre-order To Memphis to receive the album version of “Wind Blows Chloe” as well as the tracks “Only The Artist”, “The Strong Hand”, and “I Won’t Let You Fall”.

“It was Matt Ross-Spang, the co-producer on To Memphis that first mentioned recording at Sam Phillips Recording Studios and I immediately knew it was the right move,” shared Vance. “Walking into the space confirmed that…it has hardly changed since the heyday. We had a fun couple of days recording there but few songs were as fun to record as ‘Wind Blows Chloe.’ I wrote that for my manager’s daughter as a bit of fun. I’m looking forward to the world hearing it.”

Produced by Vance with Matt Ross-Sprang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price, John Prine), To Memphis is the companion album to From Muscle Shoals, which was released in June. The two very special albums pay homage to the deeply rooted Americana and Soul traditions that have influenced Vance’s approach to songwriting. The catalyst for the project was Vance’s discovery of old demos he had labelled ‘Soul’ and ‘Americana’ whilst he was searching for inspiration for the follow-up to 2016’s ‘The Wild Swan’.

Vance will follow the two album releases with an extensive headline North American and UK/Ireland tour throughout October and November. Tickets on sale now from

Vance was also recently a featured vocalist on EDM superstar ILLENIUM’s latest single “Blood”. The track, which is taken from ILLENIUM’s forthcoming album Ascend, is available to stream and download now via Astralwerks HERE.

Vance will release a new studio album in 2020, a more traditional follow-up to The Wild Swan, which contained the BBC Radio 2 playlisted singles “Coco”, “Upbeat Feelgood”, and “Noam Chomsky Is A Soft Revolution”, and saw Vance perform on NBC’s Today and CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden. Vance’s previous album, Joy Of Nothing, won the inaugural Northern Ireland Music Prize for best album in 2013.
