All Things Considered
———————————————————————————————————
‘Folk Fusion’ is probably the closest you will get in trying to define the sound of Berkshire 5 piece All Things Considered.Having formed from the ashes of a number of acts in late 2007, the last few years have seen the band record and self promote their debut album, tour all over the country and have their music played on BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music, multiple regional shows and folk and acoustic shows in the USA.
Steve Lamacq hailed them a ‘talented young folk band’, top folk music website Folking.com said they perform ‘effortlessly beautiful songs with real feeling’ and Acoustic Magazine wrote of their debut album Scarecrow ‘It richly rewards those who make the effort to appreciate it’.
Now on the verge of releasing their second full studio album, the band are going in to 2012 as one to watch on the acoustic scene in the UK.

SHOWS

Artree Music’s first release is ‘Scarecrow’, the debut album from UK roots band All Things Considered. Recorded over a period of 8 months between July 2008 and March 2009,
it comprises 10 tracks that have become firm favourites at their increasingly popular live shows. The songs on the album all have at their heart the bands earthy, ethereal vibe; however the use of varied rhythmic styles, soaring violin, intricate guitar and a haunting vocal bring out the wide musical influences the band have become renowned for.

Something very special indeed, and for a debut album is a fine piece of work. If they are as good live as they are recorded, it won’t be long before this band are making people on the folk scene talk–Steve Gibbons, Folk and Roots
